First add the HootBulk “Time Sensitive” stream. For this tutorial I’m going to send 2 messages so I will click the number 2.
I will be sharing this two blog post:
Let’s start with the first post. Select the title of the post and right click > copy. Go to the HootBulk App and paste it in the first compose message box by right click > paste. Go back to the blog post again and copy the full blog post url from the address bar. and paste it in the “Add a Link..” box.
Paste the full blog post url from the address bar in the “Add a Link..” box
Select the day you want to send this message and the time. Once you finish let’s do the other blog post.
After you added all blog posts with their full url and select the days and times click “Download CSV”. Go to the publisher, click “Schedule in Bulk”, select the csv file from your computer, choose the mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm date format, then select a Facebook Page and a Google Plus Page and click Submit.
After the message are successfully bulk scheduled go back to the publisher and filter to the Facebook Page and Google Plus page profiles by selecting them from the“Filter by Profile” box at the top left corner of the dashboard.
Once you filter the messages go to “List” view, which should be the default, and in each message you are going to click the “Edit pencil” icon located at the right side of each message.
When you click the pencil icon a link preview will be automatically generated for that post we just bulk scheduled. In the case of Facebook Pages post you could have more than one thumbnail to choose from but please note that this depends on the blog post you shared. If you are not seeing any thumbnail at all it means that the blog post you bulk scheduled didn’t have images or they weren’t coded correctly for HootSuite to see them. The reason for why that happens and the way you to fix it so it shows exactly what you want is for another tutorial. In the meantime select the thumbnail you want, you can change the title and the description of the post if you like and after you are happy with the edits click “Save Changes”.
Repeat the same process with all messages and now all those messages will be published with their appropriate link preview. In the case of Google Plus Pages you can’t select the thumbnail so just click “Save changes”.
